Toshihiro Katayama (1928-2013), Japanese artist and design printmaker. From 1963-66 he worked in Switzerland for Geigy AG. He then lived and created in the USA. From 1966, he was a lecturer at the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts at Harvard University for 30 years, and director of the center from 1990-95. In addition to design graphics, he practiced painting, including murals, sculpture and constructed three-dimensional works placed in public spaces.
